Yup, we’re good,” I thought as I laid my head down on my pillow for the night. When I was little, I remember my dad walking around the house turning off lights, checking doors, windows, and locks. We didn’t live in a rough neighborhood or anything like that, but I think it helped him sleep soundly. I think it helped me rest easier, too, as I do the same thing now albeit from my mobile device checking doors, locks, and windows. Knowing that your entry points are secure puts your mind at ease. Of course, I know if someone wants to come in, they’ll find a way. But why make it easy? The same goes for IT Datacenter Security.

There are key elements to a successful strategy. Most assessments begin with looking at external vulnerabilities, internal network configurations and operations, people and policies, and physical security (the front door). It’s the internal network configuration and operations key element that VMware Carbon Black has focused solutions. VMware was built on efficient use of compute resources and improving central management of those resources. Named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Endpoint Security Software As A Service, Q2 2021, VMware Carbon Black is an extension of those tenets and provides solutions for the new work-from-home (WFH) workforce.

Based on VMware’s Global Threat Report (June 2020) that polls security professionals worldwide, 91% of security professionals reported an increase in cyberattacks as a result of WFH. This means that security breaches are inevitable. “94% of organizations worldwide have suffered a data breach as a result of a cyberattack in the past 12 months and the average organization has experienced 2.17 breaches,” the report further states. INEVITABLE. How are you protecting your endpoints?

Data breaches and ransomware headlines today make for an easy business case to increase security at any organization. If you don’t have have a corporate strategy by now, are you being fiscally responsible? One essential part of that strategy is endpoint protection, just like checking the front door lock. Endpoints like PCs, laptops, and POS systems are those publicly accessible points in a corporate network. But how do you effectively manage and maintain the antivirus and anti-malware on the thousands of PCs that are receiving tens of thousands of emails and webpage downloads per day? On average companies deploy 47 different cybersecurity solutions and technologies causing delays, complexity, and performance issues. You need an enterprise solution that enables central management and deployment of endpoint protection tools.

VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Protection Suite

VMware Carbon Black Cloud Endpoint Protection Suite provides enterprises with a number of key modules to make remote management of both corporate owned and BYO devices easy to manage, deploy, report, and diagnose issues. Carbon Black also protects the workloads and containers providing a complete protection envelope for your environment.

Analytics driven with real-time prevention and detection is also a key differentiator. This improves threat detection and enables faster incident response. The intelligence knows how to zoom in to locate the attack and zoom out to see big picture effected systems.

We all know antivirus is an important part your PCs health. System administrators have the daunting task of making sure all PC endpoints in a network have antivirus protection, the antivirus tool is up to date, and it can monitor for infections. Applying patches and updates is an ongoing and tedious maintenance job. Having a solution like VMware Carbon Black that can quickly deploy and update all endpoints at once is the only way to stay ahead of attacks.

VMware Carbon Black Bundles

VMware Carbon Black comes in three easy to understand pricing bundles and can be sold in a VMware Enterprise Licensing Agreement (ELA) for high volume and greater discounts. Like my dad, I sleep better knowing I made it slightly harder for someone to break in. Unlike my dad, I can check the doors, windows, and locks from anywhere in the world. Similarly, a centrally managed and remotely administered endpoint protection solution with cloud native tools is an essential part of your IT security strategy so that when you’re laying your head down at night, you can say, “Yup, we’re good!”
