Mainline Information Systems Named IBM Beacon Award Finalist for Outstanding Community Service at IBM PartnerWorld 2018

IBM recognizes Mainline for their service in the battle against homelessness

TALLAHASSEE, FL – March 26, 2018
Mainline Information Systems, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, announced today that it has been named a finalist for the 2018 IBM Beacon Award in the category of “Outstanding Community Service”.

This Beacon Award recognizes IBM Business Partners that combined the resources, skills and talent of its company and people to positively address an issue of significant importance to the community within which it resides and/or does business. The award is designed to highlight the significant community service contributions of IBM’s Business Partners worldwide.

Mainline’s award is based on its significant financial and managerial contribution, as well as its service hours at CESC (Comprehensive Emergency Services Center) in Tallahassee, FL, and the battle against homelessness. CESC’s mission is to reduce homelessness by providing a safe environment that promotes dignity and respect for individuals in the community and to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.

CESC officially opened its doors in April of 2015 bringing under its wings the Kearney Center (est. 2015), the Westgate Community (est. 2014) and The Dwellings (est. 2017). Rick Kearney, Mainline Chairman and Founder, played an intricate part in the concept and planning of an all-inclusive center to fight homeless in North Florida. In fact, CESC’s programs have been toured by dozens of other communities and now serves as a national model for restoring health, hope and housing.

“While we are honored to be recognized by IBM for our involvement at CESC, that is not why Mainline does what it does in the community,” said Rick Kearney, Chairman and Founder of Mainline. “As with all large cities, homelessness is a major issue in Tallahassee. People are struggling day to day to eat, stay warm, and take care of their kids. They are just living in the moment, trying to regain some sort of hope and self-respect. It’s not a simple problem to solve but we are fortunate to have resources to make a difference in our community.”
