If the new HPE GreenLake Edge-to-Cloud campaign hasn’t shown up in your news feed yet, please stop reading this blog and go watch the commercial. Seriously, go now. I’ll wait.
And you’re welcome. Hewlett Packard Enterprise and agency Digitas have collaborated to produce Stay and Go, a campaign created to drive awareness of the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform. The 30-second commercial or 1-minute extended version, featuring Should I Stay or Should I Go by rock band The Clash, expresses the emotional and unreasonable choices that CIOs must face: The pressure to react to immediate business needs and drive significant modernization across their companies is mounting and excruciating.
McKaela Doherty, Brand & Advertising, HPE:
“What we loved about this idea from the start is how an iconic song from an iconic band could do 3 things at once, bring to life our customers’ struggle, simply explain the benefit of our solution, and create something fun and memorable for the brand.”
The COVID-19 worldwide pandemic has rocketed the need for modernization and automation. For business leaders, it all comes down to data. Doesn’t it always? Manage the value, manage the security, manage the actual data. And what about public cloud, hybrid cloud, on-premises? We can’t forget about ransomware, the dreaded ransomware attacks, and disaster recovery… what in the world is a Log4j? Clearly, it’s not that easy when the data moves and lives in a multitude of places. So, now, leaders are pressed with an impossible choice:
“Should we stay (keep our apps and data where they are) or should we go (move to the cloud)?”
Newsflash! There isn’t an easy answer. So, why not choose, not to choose between the cloud and on-premises? I’ll give you a second. And now, a Hamlet remix, “To choose NOT to choose…”
Yup, that’s right! HPE GreenLake and Mainline customers can now stay AND go. HPE GreenLake is offering customers something different – the platform that brings the cloud directly to them. HPE GreenLake delivers Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) for your workloads – on-premises, fully managed in a pay-per-use model at the edge, in colocations, and in your data center.
“The big data and analytics software market, which IDC predicts will reach $110 billion by 20231, is ripe for disruption, as customers seek a hybrid solution for enterprise datasets on-premises and at the edge,” said Antonio Neri, HPE President and CEO.
Choose Not to Choose
